Collections Access
As in previous years, collection visits will be welcomed, and those interested are encouraged to make contact with the requisite individuals well in advance. Note stipulations for each institution:
Hunterian Museum, Glasgow:
contact Jeff Liston to arrange visits to these collections (jliston@museum.gla.ac.uk).
Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Glasgow:
please contact Alastair Gunning (alastair.gunning@cls.glasgow.gov.uk) if you would like to visit our collections. It would be advisable to get in touch as soon as possible as development work at our Resource Centre may restrict access.
National Museums Scotland, Edinburgh:
anyone contemplating a research visit is asked to contact Mike Taylor (m.taylor@nms.ac.uk) as soon as possible. Because of a planned move of most of the fossil collections, access is liable to be severely restricted or unavailable from June for at least several months, including the SVPCA period. There is no problem with returning specimen loans to Edinburgh.
