London 1965

An email from Anne Warren:

I was at the meeting at Royal Holloway - my most vivid memory was going for 'breakfast' at Heathrow (after the symposium dinner?) with Alan Charig, Colin Patterson, Tom Kemp and John Attridge. On our return we found the gates locked. We were still somewhat inebriated so climbed a very tall brick wall (ten foot at least!) in pitch dark and leaped together into the grounds to discover there was a hedge on the inside. We landed/ were impaled on/in this it seemed for hours.
