Venue
The main venue for the SVPCA meeting will be within the Department of Zoology, located in the historic city centre on Downing St., Cambridge (http://www.zoo.cam.ac.uk/zooone/department/map.html)
Access to the collections of the Museum of Zoology and Sedgwick Museum will be available during the meeting subject to availability.
Advance booking for collections access is required (see http://www.sedgwickmuseum.org/research/ )
The annual Jones-Fenleigh auction to benefit student participation at the SVPCA will take place during the meeting, as will the annual conference dinner. Several other conference events and receptions are also planned. Two fieldtrip options are currently on offer, thanks to Les Noe (Oxford Clay, Peterborough) and Richard Preece (West Runton, Norfolk). Platform presentations:
All presentations should be made using PowerPoint or Acrobat. PCs running Windows Vista and Acrobat Reader will be available in the lecture theatre. Please ensure that your presentation is saved onto the lecture theatre computer well in advance of your talk, and at the latest by the coffee break preceding your allotted time-slot. Please make every effort to ensure compatibility with Windows Powerpoint or Acrobat. Those who need to use their own laptop for their presentation may do so with advance consultation with the host committee.
Posters
Posters will be on display in the Zoology Elementary Lab (Zoo Main), directly across from the main lecture theatre and in the same room as the coffee breaks, for the duration of the meeting.
There will be poster boards and adhesive material available to accommodate A0 landscape posters. Posters may remain on display starting Tuesday for the duration of the meeting, but must be removed by Friday, 4pm.
