The 70th Symposium of Vertebrate Palaeontology and Comparative Anatomy (SVPCA) and the 29th meeting of the Symposium of Palaeontological Preparation and Conservation (SPPC) will take place from the 11th to 14th of September 2024 at the University of Southampton.

Conference Dinner
The Conference Dinner will be held on Thursday 12th of September at the beautiful Dancing Man Brewery in Southampton. They have been voted, for the 2nd year running, Best Pub in Southampton and you'll also find them in the Good Food Guide.
Field Trip
The field trip on the 14th of September will be to the Isle of Wight, renowned for its abundant fossil deposits and rich geological history. Delegates will travel by ferry and then on to a waiting coach to Compton Bay and an Eocene deposit, where they will engage in a structured fossil-hunting expedition guided by expert palaeontologists. Following this immersive experience, participants will have the privilege of visiting the renowned Dinosaur Isle museum. This excursion promises to provide a unique blend of academic enrichment and hands-on exploration, offering delegates a memorable and professionally rewarding experience.
