The venue had to be changed at short notice because of Michel Martin's serious illness, and there was no field trip this year. There were also problems over dates, which meant that the programme had to be organised so that people who wanted to go to the '100 years of pterosaurs' meeting in Toulouse' could deliver their talks on Monday, and fly to France on Tuesday. In spite of all the problems the meeting went well, thanks to many people, including Phil Manning, who organised the venue at short notice and especially Jane Clarke, who took on much of the administrative load.

It is a very positive reflection on the commitment and enthusiasm of the community of people who attend the SVPCA that alternative arrangements were made at such short notice, and that the meeting was well-attended.
